What's new in WebOffice 10

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Deprecation notes:

-Support for WebOffice 4.2 will end Q2’2011.

-Internet Explorer 6 will presumably not be supported any more from version 10 R2 onwards.

-SQL Server 2000  JDBC driver support ended with WebOffice 6 Update1. SQL Server 2008 JDBC Driver is downward compatible with SQL Server 2000 JDCB driver.

-Java 1.5 support ended with WebOffice 10.

-Configuration of printing with fixed content (option: use dynamic printing: no) will not be supported from WebOffice 10 SP on.

WebOffice 10 for ArcGIS Server is certified to work with both ArcGIS Server 9.3.1 Services and ArcGIS Server 10 Services.

For the Server and Desktop extensions different setups for ArcGIS Server 9.3.1 and 10 are provided. Mixing services and capabilities of ArcGIS Server 9.3.1 and ArcGIS Server 10 in one WebOffice web application will not be supported.

Be aware that this limitation also affects the role out of the administrative computer software. I.e. you have to have two different WebOffice Applications, two different ArcGIS Servers and two different ArcGIS Desktops if you want to provide WebOffice 10 projects based on ArcGIS 9.3.1 and ArcGIS 10.

Coming WebOffice Releases and supported ArcGIS versions:

- WebOffice 10 SP coming 3/2011 supporting ArcGIS 9.3.1 and 10

- WebOffice 10 R2 coming 6/2011 supporting ArcGIS 10 only. Support for ArcGIS 9.3.1 ended with WebOffice 10 R2.

- Urgent problems with WebOffice 10 for ArcGIS 9.3.1 will be fixed by the end of 2011.
