Known Issues

In this section known issues concerning base technology are listed and recommendations for workarounds are given.

•ArcGIS 10: Service with two or more data frames: If the active data frame is cached and the other(s) is/are dynamic, a dynamic map image is submitted.

➢Workaround: Role out a cache for the actual data frame, stop the service and set the data frame (Parameters tab) to a data frame to be dynamic. Start the map service.

➢Fix: Install ArcGIS Server 10 SP2 or download hotfix for NIM 060944 from http://resources.weboffice.mysynergis.com/WebOffice10

•ArcGIS 10: Service with two or more data frames: If the active data frame is dynamic and another data frame is set to Cache on demand, the data frame with Cache on demand will not submit any images.

➢Workaround: Isolate the data frame(s) to be cache on demand in an own MXD file each and create a new map service for each MXD file.
