Note: At the time measuring in projects using a geographic coordinate system is not supported.

Measure distance tool in WebOffice 10 R3 client

Measure distance tool form
If use measuring is enabled and the features are activated in the project configuration, the four attributes segments, total length, vertices and subtotals can be shown in any type of combination. By using the checkboxes they can be activated/deactivated. It is also possible to copy the measurements to clipboard using the button next to the coordinate display.

If Support orthogonal measuring? is enabled, then two more fields for Distance and Normal are displayed on the dialog window. See chapter Markup how to configure this parameter.

Orthogonal measuring
Once you draw a distance line and set a point, the input fields for Distance and Normal are active and values can be entered. If you then click on the Set button another segment of the line will be drawn.

Use orthogonal measuring
Hint: You can influence the direction of the segment by changing the sign of the values for Distance and Normal ('+' oder '-').
See Chapter Snap Layers for more details on how to configure Snap layers for exact measuring.
See Chapter Markup for more details on specifying the default point, line and area styles and colors used in the Measure tools.

Enhanced support for perpendicular distances
To measure perpendicular distances very quickly, there are three guiding points to help with orientation (see chapter Markup, which is in one of the following chapters, in case the Markup tool has been configured before). The user can drag and drop (move) an existing vertex. This can be done when hovering over any point/vertex during the measuring process to change its location.

To delete specific measure/redlining elements all elements, no matter of which type they are, are listed in the Current Objects section of the markup tool dialog.
The selected object is displayed in the map with a blinking green dot to identify it. The object can be deleted pressing the "x" Button next to it.

If 3D measuring is enabled and Height Info Raster Layers are configured, it is possible to show the 3D measures and diagram in an own result grid.

Note: In order to access the measure result of the 3D line there are two ways: If the line is still to be edited, the chart can be accessed with a click on the top "3D" button in the "Use Measuring" box. After a line has been finished, the 3D measures can be displayed via the "3D" button in the "Current Objects" section.
