For each Print format it is possible to configure custom function fields or choose predefined function fields:

•A set of predefined function fields:

•Print title

•Name of Organization

•Disclaimer

•e-mail

•Phone

•FAX number

•Company (user attribute)

•Division

•Department

•Street

•Zip Code

•Date (no need to configure)

•Scale (no need to configure)

•Legend (no need to configure)

Additionally, the following printing functions are available:

•Print series (see chapter Print series)

•Index plot (see chapter Index Plot)

Function fields provide dynamic text content to the print output document.

In order to get the contents of a function field provided in a print output file

•the function field must be specified in the Print template (Layout file) itself

AND

•the function field is referenced in the WebOffice 10 R3 print template configuration

•the function field is referenced in the WebOffice usermanagement user and group properties

•the function field is referenced in the user properties of the LDAP configuration in the Application Configuration.

Note: However, if more than one of the three references exist, then the print template of the project configuration gets overruled by the print profile of the WebOffice usermanagement, which itself gets overruled by the LDAP configuration.

A function field is identified by a unique identifier.

In the WebOffice 10 R3 project configuration, two function fields are always treated as a pair because in general you want to print a caption as well as a value (e.g. for the function field scale, the caption would be "Print output generated for scale:", the value would be "1:10000".

Available function fields

In the subsequent chapters you find all predefined function fields as well as Custom function fields.

For all predefined function fields the available configuration properties are the same except the predefined function field IDs (ID of field caption and ID of field value), scale and date which cannot be changed in WebOffice author.

Property	Description
Field caption	Caption in print template.
Field value	Value in print template. Note: If "User may change?" is set to "Yes" you may also provide a list of possible values to the user. Use the "\|" symbol as delimiter between the possible values, e.g. title 1\|title 2. The first value will be the default value. If you want to provide several values but no default value start your listing with a "\|" symbol, e.g. \|title 1\|title 2. User may change?	Specifies whether the user my change or set the value in the Print tool form ("Yes") or not ("No"). If No, then only the Administrator using WebOffice author is able to specify the caption and the value displayed in the print output.
