The project settings are located on the right top area within the WebOffice core client, directly on the right side attached of the ribbons menu. The project settings include on the one hand important quick functions and on the other hand the settings of the WebOffice 10.9 R4 project.

Status of the ribbons (expanded or collapsed)

Status of the overview map (expanded or collapsed)

Status of the navigation panel (expanded or collapsed)

Formatting settings for drawing (colors, line widths, font sizes, etc.)

Settings for print templates (print scale, high-resolution print, output type)

Note: The template ID (= name of the print template file) is always taken into consideration and not the alias of the print template. If a template file is configured more than once in the project configuration, the template that is configured at the top of the Template (File Name) (or category) will be loaded in the user profile.

Note: Whenever you reopen the WebOffice core client on your desktop with the same browser installation, the WebOffice core client will automatically load and use the locally saved user profile.

Note: Current label styles are not saved in user profiles.

WebOffice 10.9 R4 administrators can configure central user profiles. By adding a special parameter (userprofile=<my profile>) to the initial URL of the WebOffice core client, the corresponding user profile is loaded and used immediately. This makes it very easy to implement different layouts of a single WebOffice 10.9 R4 project and to make them available to the users.

To save a user profile with a profile name on the server, it is recommended to use the shortcut CTRL + Alt + P and to insert a name of the profile in the appropriate mask:

Save profile on server

Save profile on server

Note: This feature is very useful when configuring WebOffice 10.9 R4 for different user groups (e.g. occasional users versus experienced users) and for different screen resolutions used by users (e.g. 1024 x 768 pixels versus 1280 x 1025 pixels).

Note: This functionality was developed exclusively for WebOffice 10.9 R4 administrators.

If, for example, the administrator has created user profiles for different screen resolutions and saved them on the server (profile1024_768 and profile1280_1024), users with a low screen resolution (1024 x 768 pixels) will use the following URL to start the WebOffice core client:

http://<myserver>[:<myport]/<WebOffice web application>/synserver?project=<ProjectID>&userprofile= profile1024_768

Users with a high screen resolution (1280 x 1024 pixels) will use the following URL to start the WebOffice core Client:

http://<myserver>[:<myport]/<WebOffice web application>/synserver?project=<ProjectID>&userprofile= profile1280_1024

Note: Saving a user profile with a name is only possible if the WebOffice usermanagement is not activated. When using WebOffice usermanagement the profile is already customized for the logged in user.

core_project_settings11

Information of the User login

Note: See chapter WebOffice UserManagement if you want to restrict the access to a WebOffice 10.9 R4 project and create user based state information.

Note: See chapter WEB-INF Directory for more details on configuring the session timeout.
