Save User Profile

Saves the current settings of the WebOffice core client as user profile. The user profile is loaded automatically at the next start. The following settings are saved:

•Status of the ribbons (expanded or collapsed)

•Status and width of the control center / left pane

•Status of the overview map (expanded or collapsed)

•Status of the navigation panel (expanded or collapsed)

•Favorites of the map views

•Formatting settings for drawing (colors, line widths, font sizes, etc.)

•Formatting settings for measuring (colors, line widths, font sizes, etc.)

•Formatting settings for free labeling (colors, line widths, fonts, etc.)

•Settings for labeling features (selected label configuration per label layer, order of the label fields and separators)

•Snapping settings (snapping profile, snapping to vertices and lines)

•Standard query

•Settings for print templates (print scale, high-resolution print, output type)

Note: The template ID (= name of the print template file) is always taken into consideration and not the alias of the print template. If a template file is configured more than once in the project configuration, the template that is configured at the top of the Template (File Name) (or category) will be loaded in the user profile.

Note: Without login to the WebOffice usermanagement, the user profile is stored in the local storage of the browser, separately per browser and per server address. It is therefore only available in the browser in which it was saved and is lost when the browser data is deleted. In private browser windows it is only kept until the window is closed.

Note: When logged in to the WebOffice usermanagement, the user profile is stored on the server and is available to the user in every browser.

WebOffice 10.9 R5 administrators can provide central user profiles. A central user profile is a file <profile name>.txt in the directory WEB-INF/work/profiles (see chapter WEB-INF Directory). It is used when the WebOffice core client is started with the parameter userprofile=<profile name>, for example:

http://<myserver>[:<myport>]/<WebOffice web application>/synserver?project=<ProjectID>&userprofile=occasional_users

This way, different settings of the user interface can be provided for one WebOffice 10.9 R5 project, for example for occasional and for experienced users.

The easiest way to create a central user profile is to save the desired settings as a user of the WebOffice usermanagement and to copy the resulting file <user name>.txt to the desired profile name. The profile name should only contain letters, digits and underscores.

With the project setting Default User Profile (see chapter Settings) a central user profile is defined which all users without an own user profile receive.

Note: At the start of the WebOffice core client the first available user profile is used in this order: 1. the profile given with the parameter userprofile, 2. the profile stored on the server for the user logged in to the WebOffice usermanagement, 3. the profile stored in the browser, 4. the default user profile of the project.

Clear User Profile

Deletes the saved user profile: in the browser or, when logged in to the WebOffice usermanagement, on the server. At the next start the settings of the project configuration or the default user profile of the project apply again.

Session timeout

Displays the remaining time in minutes until the session expires, provided that there is no interaction with the server.

Central collection of all frequently used selection and input lists, like full-text search, scale selection, ...
