Route event layers are special layers consisting of a feature layer that provides the geometric information including M values and an event table with the route and route event information.
Note: Not all types of tables have an ObjectID field. Although they are not selectable within ArcGIS, they can be used for Queries, MapTip and Identify in WebOffice 10 R3.
In order to use the route event layer in WebOffice 10 R3, publish the ArcMap document to ArcGIS Server and Add the Map Service to the Map Collection. Then you can Create a Layer Query, configure MapTip or just allow Identify and Spatial Selection for the route event layer. In case your layer has an ObjectID field there are no differences to the usual layer types.
Other than in ArcMap, tables without an ObjectID field can also be used in WebOffice 10 R3 to create selectable, searchable and identifiable route event layers. Therefore ignore the warning that appears in ArcMap when using a table without ObjectID field.

Ignore warning "table does not have ObjectID field"
Note: In case your event table derives from a non spatial database and therefore does not include a ObjectID field but any other sort of ID field, this ID field has to be configured as the FIRST result field of the list in EVERY search result view. The field can be set to "invisible" but has to be manually configured.

If using a table without an ObjectID field, the custom ID field has to be configured as first result field in every search result view
