Specifying Restrictions for Maps, you can implement access rights for one or multiple specific data frames.

First of all you have to select the group where restrictions are to be configured.

Now you can either configure a partial restriction by assigning an attributive filter or fully restrict access to the map service with a tick at the checkbox "Restrict Access". When assigning a filter either select an existing one or create a new one from scratch.

Note: In order to receive an correct restriction for maps with a configured attributive filter, consider the following points:

Every feature class in all layers of the map (i.e. data frame) should possess an identical field of identical type that serves the filter

Any feature layer that does not possess the field to be filtered on cannot be displayed since the filter condition cannot be complied with

The attributive filter operates restrictively, i.e. if no attributive filter is defined there will not be a restriction

The attributive filter will only work for feature layers. All other types of layers (e.g. group layers, annotation feature class layers, raster catalog layers, layers with ArcMap Join, etc...) will not be taken into consideration

Only "=" (EQUALS) operator is supported for attributive filter conditions for maps

The attributive filter can be either parametrized or static. Be aware that users are not allowed to have multiple group memberships!

Examples:

Parametrized: CLIENT_ID = <%client%>; the attributive filter will use the client ID parameter, configured at user group level, as        attributive filter.

Static: <FILTER_FIELD> = 'filter_value'; the attributive filter may be static as well
