Map view - WebOffice category
Within a Map view it is possible to configure properties of elements the same way as in chapter Table of Content (TOC of Map Collection)
•Map service (also for WMTS) - see chapter Reference to Map Service of Map Collection
•WMS map service - see chapter Reference to WMS Map Service of Map Collection
•Layer group - see chapter Layer Group
•Layer level - see chapter Layer
The configuring of alias names or metadata on layers is not supported in the Map views menu. If you want to provide these information of layers only available in certain map views, the layers have to be configured in the TOC of Map collection and set to hide or off.
Note that you can’t change the display order of Layer groups or Layers by configuring a WebOffice 10 R3 map view structure different to the ArcMap Table of content.
It is important to understand that when changing the Map view in the client, only the differences between the Map views will get displayed. This way it is not necessary to configure a Map view in detail. This rule only takes effect on layers, conceiving map services, every map service has to be in the Map view explicitly.
Example: Map view 1 has two map services (map service 1 and map service 2). In map view 1, map service 1 only the layers A and B are visible. Map view 2 should contain map service 1 and map service 2.
On map service 1 the layers A, B and C should be visible. For this constellation in map view 2, map service 1 only layer C has to be configured visible explicitly. Map service 2 has to be part of the map view to be displayed.
