It’s possible to optionally specify Map Service properties for each map service.
Note: For each of the map service types described in chapters b, see OGC WMS Map Service, Map Service properties may be configured optionally, too.
Using the map service properties option Image format – PNG32, it is possible to support full transparency for msd services. See chapters b and ArcGIS Server Internet Service for details.

Must be available? |
Specifies, if the map service must be available as prerequisite for starting the project. If Yes and the map service is not available, then the WebOffice client does not start but show an information page. If No, the initializing process of the WebOffice client is continued and no content is displayed for this map service. |
Timeout [ms] |
Specifies the wait time in milliseconds to wait for a response of this service.
If no response is available within the timeout, then the request is canceled and the web application proceeds. If there is only one map service in the project configuration, the timeout is ignored. |
Image format |
Set the image format for the map service. Only used for dynamic map services. If no value is set, the default setting of the map service is used. |
Map Service properties – WebOffice category
The user is able to change map service properties using the Map service properties dialog which is available as context menu of the map service in the Table of content.

Check this checkbox if you want to use the background color of this map service as transparent color. This way blending of map services is possible without setting a Transparency level. |
Transparency [%] |
Specifies the transparency level of the map service. Note: Using transparencies needs a lot of image processing on the server side and slows down map display. |
Map service timeout |
Defines the timeout in seconds to wait for the service to respond. If the map service does not respond within the timeout then it does not get displayed in the map. |
