External Filter

An external filter becomes mandatory if the user wants to enable external filter calls on this layer. The option supports to define the default feature visibility when the filter is not active (set to 'No').

The option allows the user to suppress certain layer content until an external filter call enables the visibility of the objects fitting the specified filter expression.
