The URL replace function lists all configured URLs (starting with http:// etc. exclusive the map service URLs) of the currently opened project configuration, including all relative URLs. The administrator is able to replace all occurrences of specific URLs in the project configuration. This is especially useful for moving project configuration from test/staging system to production (i.e. for rolling out projects). Base URLs from links to external applications or calls FROM WebOffice can be changed as well as URLs from, e.g. hyperlinks to a customer page.

URLs from multilingual attributes (such as metadata hyperlinks) can also be changed with limitation: The change will only be applied to the currently selected project language which is set in the basic settings. If URL replacement for multilingual projects and their attributes is necessary, there are two option to change URLs for all project languages:

1. Before starting to change the URLs, be sure to have configured one Application Profile for each project language (e.g. WebOffice English and WebOffice German). Now change URLs including the ones of multilingual attributes in the first language, then change application profile to the next project language and repeat the step for URLs of multilingual attributes.

2. If only a few URLs of multilingual attributes are configured, change them in the first project language. Afterwards, use the Translations function to adapt the URLs for other project languages.

In case the WebOffice 10.9 R3 project contains many configured URLs with the same server name (e.g. http://www.arcgis.com) and you want to change them all, check the box Server names change globally before and then replace one of the URLs. When pressing Apply the change will be adopted for all URLs with the same server name.
