Use the translation to support multiple languages in the WebOffice author standalone. You can check the consistency, correctness, and completeness of translations of language-specific text modules. To use this function, you must have opened a project configuration.

 

First, you have to select whether you want to make language adjustments in the project configuration, the application configuration or in a ESRI Resource Proxy configuration.

Translations can also be performed immediately during the configuration of a language-specific field.  However, it can happen that you forget to configure translations.  Therefore, whenever you administer multilingual WebOffice 10.9 R4 projects, you should always check the translation box to see if the translations are consistent or incomplete.

Sometimes content can be transferred from one language to another.  Simply click on the field with the arrow to copy the content from the source language to the target language.

It is also possible to have the project-specific text content translated using the Microsoft Translator API.  To translate individual text contents, click on the T button on the right.

If you want to translate all text contents of the base language into the target language using the Microsoft Translator API, click the Translate all button.

Using the Integrity check button WebOffice author standalone checks the available languages of the WebOffice 10.9 R4 Client to see if the target language is complete.  If all text content is complete, a message will appear, otherwise WebOffice author standalone will notify you which field is missing.

With the Release target language button you can check whether and when a specific language is released for the WebOffice 10.9 R4 Client.  With the button Remove release (to the right of Released languages) an already released language can be removed again.

To be able to translate the language-dependent texts externally into the target language, you can export them as XML files (or import them again).  Click on the corresponding button (Export target language) and go to the folder in which the XML file should be saved.

If you want to import a target language, first select the correct Target language from the list (1) and select the corresponding language XML file by clicking the Import target language button (2).  Pressing the Release target language button (3) adds the new language to the list of released languages (4) and makes it available in the WebOffice 10.9 R4 Project.
