The Measure Distance tool is configured by default to provide measure functionality. Optionally, you can enable 3D measuring if your project includes height info raster layers. Specify which measure settings (overall length, segments, vertices, subtotal distance) should be available in the WebOffice core client.

Property

Description

Show overall length

Displays (true) or not (false) the overall length of a polyline. The single segment lengths is always shown and aligned with the measure line.

Show segment length?

Specifies if by default the line segments length will get displayed in the map (true) or not (false).

Show vertices?

Specifies if by default the coordinates of the vertices will get displayed in the map (true) or not (false).

Show hectometer markers?

Specifies whether by default hectometer markers shall be displayed in the map (true) or not (false).

Allow subtotal distance?

Specifies if the subtotal distance from the beginning of a polyline to each vertex can be displayed (true) or not (false, Default).

Show subtotal distance?

Specifies if the subtotal distance from the beginning of a polyline to each vertex are by default displayed (true) or not (false, Default).

Enable 3D measuring?

3D measuring based up on raster data.

For 3D measuring at least an elevation layer hast to be configured. See chapter Height Info Raster Layers ff. for details.

Enable using selection geometry?

Allows use of selection geometry as input for measurements.

Allow to define an offset for the label?

Allows you to offset measurements and place them on a different point.

Default Offset

Selection of the default offset, if it is allowed.

No Offset (default): The measurement line and measurement texts are not offset.

Orthogonal Offset: When the measurement is completed, the measurement line and measurement texts are offset orthogonally to the measured line. The distance (both directions possible) can be set via mouse click.

Free Offset: When the measurement is complete, the measurement line and measurement texts can be moved freely in relation to the measured line. The distance (all directions possible) can be set via mouse click.

icon_comment

The guiding lines that mark the offset are displayed in the same style as the measurement line, but without arrowheads.

Use tool?

Specify whether this Tool is available in the WebOffice client (true) or not (false).
