Map Rotation
With WebOffice 10.9 R4 it is possible to rotate the current map image in WebOffice core Client. While for the rotation of dynamic map services a special rotation parameter is used in the REST-API of the ArcGIS server, the tiles of caches are still obtained directly at the client. After this function has been configured in WebOffice author, it can be used via the WebOffice core Client navigation panel:

As soon as the function Map Rotation is selected, next to the navigation panel appears a corresponding control menu for Map Rotation:

The following options are now available for rotating the map:
•Rotation via slider in a range from 180° to -180°. The rotation is done in 5°-steps.
•Rotation by entering a rotation angle in the input box. This also allows exact rotations, as the input of decimal numbers is also supported.
Note: The entry of a rotation angle in the corresponding input box can be confirmed with ENTER.
•Alignment to the north by clicking on the corresponding button .
Note: Please note that the rotation angle of the map rotation must be specified in degrees. The valid range is between 180° and -180°, whereby 0° always corresponds to an orientation to the north.
Note: The map is rotated around the map center.
In order to ensure spatial orientation after the map has been rotated, both the configured north arrow and the current display area in the overview map are dynamically adjusted:

Basically, all contents in the map are rotated by the Map Rotation. However, note the following particularities:
•The positions of markups are not affected by the map rotation. Only the markup type text rotates with the specified map rotation, so that the set text is always displayed horizontally on the map.
•Labels set with the tool Label Feature rotate with the specified map rotation so that the set text is always displayed horizontally on the map.
•Labels that were set using the tool Label Multiple always refer to the text rotation configured on the tool. The labels rotate with the specified map rotation only if Not rotated has been configured as text rotation.
Note: The map rotation can also be specified as a parameter in an external call. Further details on the rotation parameter can be found in the chapter WebOffice URL Call Interface.
Note: For more information on configuring the Map Rotation function in WebOffice author see Map Rotation .
