MapTip
MapTip enables users to retrieve information by just moving the mouse over objects in the map. There are two ways to implement the functionality in the WebOffice flex client:
With MapTip it is possible to get one or multiple results from a layer.
When displaying a result the following map updates will be executed: •Point: Zoom to the reference scale of the layer •Line/Area: 1.Zoom to the reference scale of the layer 2.If this would lead to an extent, where the feature is not entirely visible, it will instead zoom to a scale where the entire feature can be displayed (+ about 25% buffer) 3.When distinct scales are used into the next zoom scale that is most close to the second
The factor by which the extent will be increased can be specified in <%PROPERTIES_FILE%>_weboffice_user.xml using <record jsxid="result.zoom.expand jsxtext="1.25"/>. |
In automatic mode the MapTip is automatically active whenever no other tool is used. Therefore, no button in the toolbar is needed. In Automatic mode, the MapTip detects all visible layers by default.
•To reduce the number of tools, VertiGIS recommends this mode for the use of MapTip in the WebOffice flex client. See also chapter Concept for further information. •To reduce the number of tools VertiGIS recommends MapTip instead of Identify in the WebOffice flex client. |

When the Manual Mode is set, you can click on the button to start the MapTip. Change settings in the tool form to either select on all visible layers or on a specific one.

If print templates with attribute data are defined on the respective search layer, it is possible to execute a Printing tool directly from the popup of the MapTip, if it has been configured in the search result view before. This function is available for Printing (Legacy) via the Server Object Extension as well as via VertiGIS Printing.
