Note: At actual state of implementation the extended user properties are not taken into consideration by WebOffice.

 

 

Import users from a .xls or .csv file

 

WebOffice usermanagement Admin Web allows the administrator to import one ore more users from a .xls (.xslx) or .csv file. First step is to prepare the .xls or .csv file, therefore you need at least the three mandatory columns for:

Name

Login

Password

 

Optional you can define columns for:

Given name

Surname

Phone number

FAX

EMail

Group (up to five groups are possible)

 

Note: You can choose any naming for the columns, the mapping of the columns will be done during the steps of the wizard in WebOffice usermanagement admin web.

 

Import Wizard - Step 1

After having prepared the .xls or .csv file, you can import the users by using the import wizard in WebOffice usermanagement admin web in the section Users. Select either a .xls (.xslx) or a .csv file.

Import Wizard - Step 2

In step 2 of the import wizard the data from the .xls or .csv file will be shown in a preview and the mapping of the columns can be done. The fields for Name, Login and Password are mandatory and has to mapped with the columns from the .xls or .csv file. The mapping of the other columns is optional, if one ore more columns do not exist, please choose <no mapping>.

Contains column headers?: If you check the option, the first line of the .xls or. csv file will be used as column headers (used for mapping)

Name: Assign a column for the name.

Login: Assign a column for the login.

Password: Assign a column for the password.

Given name: Assign a column for the given name.

Surname: Assign a column for the surname.

Phone number: Assign a column for the phone number.

FAX: Assign a column for the fax number.

Group (up to 5 groups): Assign a column for the group of the user (you can assign up to 5 groups).

Delete all users from database before starting import?: If you check this option, all users will be deleted from database before starting the import.

 

Note: When using the option Delete all users from database before starting import? be sure to have a backup of the usermanagement database.

In step 3 you will get an overview of the user import. By clicking Finish the import will be executed.
