The scalebar ruler gets rendered by WebOffice 10 R3.
Scalebar ruler is implemented using a "logo image" function field with the technical ID "syn_scalebar" or "syn_scalebar_nms". The difference between the two function fields is that the latter one is displayed without a numeric scale (nms = no numeric scale).

Note: With projects in Web Mercator the usage of a "logo image" function field with the technical ID "syn_client_scalebar" is recommended. Additionally, in this template a numerical scale field must not be configured.
It is recommended to use the right margin at almost full height and a width of about 2 cm. For an A4 printing template it would be 2 cm x 27 cm.

To display a Logo field inside a frame we recommend to define the size of the frame bigger by 1 pixel in each direction. To align them, select the frame and the logo using the Shift key. Choose the Align option from the context menu and Align Bottom. Repeat the steps and choose Align Center in a second step.
