Introduction to WebOffice flex Client

WebOffice flex is an alternative client based on Adobe Flash/Flex® technology.

The WebOffice flex client is designed for providing

•Smart client user interface for ‘vertical’ applications (i.e. applications that focus on one or few specific topics/aspects. The ‘vertical’ approach is the complete opposite of the professional (general purpose) web client approach of the WebOffice html client),

•Easy-to-use user interface – you need at maximum three mouse clicks for getting displayed the data/object you are interested in

•Fast and cool map rendering

WebOffice 10 R3 flex client

WebOffice flex gets administered with exactly the same administrative tools like WebOffice html client.

Note: WebOffice flex is based on WebOffice 10 R3 basic, i.e. as prerequisite a valid WebOffice 10 R3 basic license is needed. WebOffice 10 R3 basic functionalities get provided, higher functional levels like WebOffice 10 R3 standard or advanced (webediting) are not available.

Project skin:

Actually WebOffice flex is deployed with different skins, the standard (blue) skin and three optional skins: gray, brown and green. Every WebOffice 10 R3 project can be either started with a skin parameter (e.g. “&skin=gray”) or using no “skin” parameter (the project will be displayed in blue-skin as default).

It's also possible to start a project with the “&skin=gray” parameter initially, therefore you can configure gray in the Project Skin property of the Customer Information.

Note: If the Project Skin property is configured, the skin parameter for the flex client (e.g. “&skin=green”) will have no effect.
