Note: To do the following steps a valid JDK and Apache Tomcat installation is required. For installation instructions refer to chapter Java ff.
In this final step the capability of being able to access ArcGIS Server from Tomcat/JAVA is checked.
This is a mandatory prerequisite for installation of WebOffice 10 R3!
Check your WebOffice10R3-DVD and navigate to directory WebOffice10R3-DVD\Software\Util\ArcGIS Server DCOM Test Web App
Copy file AGSTest.war into <Tomcat installation directory>\webapps
Start Web Application AGSTest from your local browser using http://<servername>:8080/AGSTest
e.g. http://agsserver:8080/AGSTest

Start page of SynerGIS AGSTest Utility
Set option test to TestServerStatus
Enter machine name, domain (if the machine is not within a domain then reenter the machine name again), user name and password.
Press TEST button.
In the message section the list of available services (serverObjectConfigurations) on the server should get displayed.

Successful test of ArcGIS Server connection from Tomcat/JAVA
If you do not get a list of services but instead an error message then please check your ArcGIS Server installation. Ensure that you have gone through all other steps documented in chapter Checking ArcGIS Server installation before and that you have finished each of them successfully.
Check your firewall settings on your Applicion Server (Tomcat Port) and ArcGIS Server machine! See chapter Windows Firewall for details.
If this test case still does not work correctly then please contact SynerGIS support (web-support@mysynergis.com).
