WebOffice > Installation > ArcGIS Server Utility (GIS Server)

Run the setup-file (on WebOffice10R3-DVD\Software\WebOffice AGS Utilities\setup.exe) and select a folder on the server (the default directory is "C:\Program Files\SynerGIS\AGSUtilities"), where you want to install the WebOffice AGS Utilities.

The Utility must be installed on the same server machine(s), where Esri ArcGIS Server is installed and running (SOC processes), e.g. the user must install the utility on each server, in case multiple GIS server installations are used.

The WebOffice ArcGIS Server Utility is needed to allow a performance-optimized access to the ArcGIS Server.

Note: Difficulties during the installation process can be recorded and the steps logged using the msiexec -i installation functionality (msiexec -x for uninstall). Type msiexec in your command line window to get an overview of the logging options. For instance, the user can install the setup with these options to get a log file with detailed information: msiexec –i <path to setup.msi> /l*v <path to create log file in>\install.log
