When using the WebOffice 10.2 Migration Tool make sure, that all relevant map services are started.
Validation
Enter the path of the backed up WebOffice 10R3 directory to migrate from, then click Load.

Enter the URL of current ArcGIS 10.2 for Server.

Press Connection Test to see if a the entered URL is valid. Notice the green check on the right side.

In case you want to migrate to more than one ArcGIS 10.2 for Server, Add the respective URL.

The application configuration gets preselected after defining the WebOffice 10R3 path and clicking Load. The path to the currently selected application configuration is shown in gray letters.

If you want to use another application configuration you can first delete the selected one by pressing the Delete button, then Add another application configuration by selecting it with the dialog. Only one application configuration can be selected at one time.

Click the button Upload in order to finish the update process. The WebOffice 10.2 Migration Tool will check whether the uploaded configuration is valid or not.

All saved project configuration of the path defined in step one will be listed under WebOffice projects. Add more projects, e.g. from the folder bak by clicking the button Add and choosing the desired projects. Both valid and invalid project configuration can be used for the migration process but keep in mind that invalid WebOffice 10R3 projects will remain invalid after migration to WebOffice 10.2 and have to be fixed manually.

In case your WebOffice 10R3 projects were using WebOffice usermanagement, you can now upload the usermanagement database XML file that has been exported in the backup process.

After you completed the validation steps click the button Transformations in order to proceed to the next part of the WebOffice 10.2 migration process.

Transformations
Within the Transformations part of WebOffice 10.2 migration you are able to define the URL transformations for services and custom links. Use the button Show Help in order to display the structure of WebOffice 10R3 map services.

In the first step you will transfer your map services from the WebOffice 10R3 structure to your new map services that have already been published with ArcGIS 10.2 for Server. WebOffice 10.2 Migration Tool will automatically show how many service URLs are available in your WebOffice 10R3 projects and, thus, have to be transferred.

In the example shown in this user manual, a WebOffice 10R3 project using one map service with several data frames is to be migrated to WebOffice 10.2 SP3.
| • | With WebOffice 10R3, the structure of a map service saved in the project configuration was defined: ArcGIS Mapservice | xPath: /SYNXML/WEBGIS/MAPELEMENTS/MAPCOLLECTION/AGS_MAPSERVICE/@server#service#dataframe |
| • | Use the ArcMap Toolbar for WebOffice author to split up the MXD document automatically, so one MXD document only contains one data frame. |
| • | After the new map services have been published properly in ArcGIS 10.2 for Server, you will have one map service for each created MXD document. |
| • | Start with the first map service, open the Service Editor, navigate to Mapping and copy the REST URL. |

Switch back to the WebOffice 10.2 Migration Tool and paste the URL into the according text field. You can use the button Connection Test to check whether the URL is correct or not. Then do the same for all listed map services.

In WebOffice 10R3 there were several specific services for WebOffice plotten, WebOffice ePaper and WebOffice extract server. With WebOffice 10.2 SP3 there is only one service left: SynOutputService. Map your former dummy services to the new SynOutputService.

Then have a look over all other custom URLs that might need to be changed. These custom URLs can include:
| • | database connections |
| • | full-text search application |
| • | proxy servers |
| • | proxy server exceptions |
| • | etc |
Note: Consider the different syntax regarding the publisher server URL in WebOffice 10R3 and WebOffice 10.2 SP3:
| • | WebOffice 10R3: parameter server contains only <server name>, e.g. w-ws-wintner |
| • | WebOffice 10.2 SP3: parameter server contains the REST URL of ArcGIS 10.2 for Server http://<server>:<port>/<instance name>, e.g. http://w-ws-wintner:6080/arcgis |
Note: Consider the different syntax regarding the full-text search application
| • | WebOffice 10R3: http://<server>:<port>/<FTS-Index application name> |
| • | WebOffice 10.2 SP3: http://<server>:<port>/<FTS-Index application name>/#/WebOffice |

After you completed the transformation steps click the button Migration in order to proceed to the next part of the WebOffice 10.2 SP3 migration process.

Migration
In the last step of the WebOffice 10.2 Migration Tool you can download the migrated WebOffice 10.2 SP3 files. Either save the files separately or download all migrated files as an archive file.

The first file that can be saved is the WebOffice 10.2 SP3 application configuration. Using the input from the previous step Transformations it was updated to fit the WebOffice 10.2 SP3 scheme and can be downloaded by clicking the file name.

Secondly, the migrated WebOffice 10.2 SP3 projects are listed and can be saved separately.

If you defined a Usermanagement database dump during validation, the migrated file will also be listed and available for download.

Or just hit the button Download and save all files zipped together into a designated folder.

The archive contains three folders named appconfig, dump and project (or two in case no UMDB file was defined), with the first containing the migrated application configuration, the second consisting of the UMDB XML file and the latter one comprising all migrated project configurations.
