Table of Content (TOC)
The WebOffice 10.9 R4 Table of Content (TOC) may contain the whole map collection. For each map, detailed configuration of specific elements of the table of content may be provided. The table of content configuration specifies the initially displayed map in case there are no map views configured as well as the content of the TOC control in the WebOffice core client.
Table of content configuration
Property |
Description |
---|---|---|---|
Show Table of content? |
Specifies if the table of content should be displayed in WebOffice core client (Yes) or not at all (No). |
Update map automatically? |
Specifies if the map gets updated automatically whenever the state of the Table of content is changed (ArcMap-like behavior).
Timeout |
Specifies the time (ms), after which the map is updated automatically. |
Dynamic mode? |
Specifies if the table of content should by default be displayed in dynamic mode. If Yes, the Table of content will show the layers visible in the current scale only. If No, the static mode shows all visible Layers and Layer groups all the time (independent from any scale dependent visibility). Layers that are currently not within visibility scale range, get grayed out. |
Button for TOC mode? |
Specifies if the button for interactive change of TOC mode should be displayed in the user interface below the table of content control or not. |
Auto visible parent layers? |
Specifies if turning on a layer will implicitly also turn on parent layers and the containing map service visibility. Please keep in mind that turning on the parent layer may implicitly also make other portions of the layer tree visible. |
Dynamic line height? |
Specifies if the height of a line in the TOC is set to a defined height (No/Default, defined by style file), or if the line height is not defined and stretches with the content of the line (Yes). This is useful if, e.g. the TOC has legend images bigger than the defined line height and the images should get fully displayed. |
Map view category |
Display group for the table of content |
Specifies if the scale level should be shown through the layer tooltip for non-visible layers in the TOC. |
Specifies the maximum of entries to be shown in a feature legend. If a legend has more entries, the list is shortened to the configured maximum and a remark is added at the end of the list. Displaying a legend containing a very large number of entries may lead to a significant decrease of performance. Displaying more than 256 entries per legend is not supported. |
Max raster legend entries |
Specifies the maximum of entries to be shown in a raster legend. If a legend has more entries, the list is shortened to the configured maximum and a remark is added at the end of the list. Displaying a legend containing a very large number of entries may lead to a significant decrease of performance. Displaying more than 256 entries per legend is not supported. |
Specifies if the User is permitted to re-arrange the Project pre-defined order of the Services in the TOC for the WebOffice core Client.
Specifies if the Layer Filter for the TOC will be enabled. |
Layer Filter min. Input length |
Specifies the necessary number of characters to be typed in by the user to trigger a layer filter request. |
Layer Filter Delay Time [ms] |
Delay time im milliseconds before a filtering is triggered after releasing the last key in the input field. |
Table of content properties
There is also the option to display a static legend by configuring a legend in the Legend. |
By configuring Reference to Map Service of Map Collection (resp. layer groups and layers) you can control the display of the dynamic legend. See the subsequent chapters for details. In case your WebOffice 10.9 R4 project includes WMS map services configure a Reference to WMS Map Service of Map Collection to control the behavior of each of the WMS map services configured in the map collection.
A quick and easy way of transferring the ArcMap table of content to your WebOffice 10.9 R4 project is to use the Get Table of Contents button in the WebOffice author standalone toolbar. If you got more than one ArcMap document, open one after the other and transfer the TOC to WebOffice 10.9 R4.
The information whether a topic group in the map document/map service is collapsed or expanded is not available via ArcGIS REST API: oFor ArcMap based map services the information can be read from the MXD via WebOffice 10.9 R4 Server Object Extension. oFor ArcGIS Pro based map services this option is not available. |
