configuration legend

If there are several map views and a static legend image is configured only on one map view, the text “No legend information available” will be displayed for the other map views.

Static legends configured in map views overwrites, if available, the static legends configured in map elements in the particular map view.

It is recommended to use ArcMap functionality to generate the Legend image file. For example, a FeatureService published via ArcGIS Pro does not offer a visualization of the legend.

A static legend can be provided for every supported language. If you want to support several languages, use the translations function of the Extras Menu and provide a path for every legend image per language. E.g. “mapview1” has the static legend image “pub/images/legend1_en.jpg”. For supporting the project in German language too, translate “mapview1” to “Kartenansicht1” and provide a German legend in “pub/images/legend1_de.jpg”.

A static legend can also be integrated into the print layout using a logo-element with the name syn_legend. (For more information on how to configure the print layout, please refer to Chapter Custom Function Fields, as well as in the https://resources.weboffice.vertigis.com/Documentation/WebOffice/WPA/en/index.html). The print layout also responds to multi-lingual configured legends. Meaning that an existing static legend within a project is language-dependent fed into the print of WebOffice 10.9 R4.
