Property

Description

Related map service

Related WMS map service.

Visible in map?

Used to define the initial visibility of the service.

If visible is not specified explicitly (auto), the map service is initially displayed.

off
The map service is not shown (switched to invisible).

on
The map service is shown (visible).

icon_comment

By default, the layers of a WMS service are switched off in the base map and in the topic tree the base map layers cannot be switched.

Therefore, the layers of the WMS service that should be displayed must be explicitly configured in the project configuration with "Visible in map?", which is set to on explicitly in the project configuration.

I.e. in the background map view configuration for the reference of the WMS map service create a list of topics with the layers to be displayed. The topic ID is the name of the layer in the GetCapabilities response.

Visible in TOC?

Used to define the initial visibility of the element in the TOC.

If visibility is not specified explicitly (auto), the element is initially displayed in the TOC.

off
The element is not shown (switched to invisible).

on
The element is shown (visible).

icon_comment

If auto is used, there is the following restriction when switching to visible: For performance reasons, only a maximum of 10 sub-nodes per visible node are switched to visible. This means that if you want to avoid this situation, the on option must be selected.

Minimum scale

Minimum scale.

If set to 0 then this value does not get taken into consideration and the layer visibility scale range specified in the MXD document is relevant only.

If, e.g. for scales < 1:100,000 the map should not be displayed any more, then configure the value 100000.

icon_comment

This parameter does not affect the scale levels taken into consideration by the MapTip tool. This parameter is exclusively used to reduce map image transfer between client and server.

Maximum scale

Maximum scale.

If set to 0 then this value does not get taken into consideration and the layer visibility scale range specified in the MXD document is relevant only.

If, e.g. for scales > 1:100,000 the map should not be displayed any more, then configure the value 100000.

This parameter does not affect the scale levels taken into consideration by the MapTip tool. This parameter is exclusively used to reduce map image transfer between client and server.

Expanded in TOC?

Specifies if the map service is displayed expanded (on) or collapsed (off) in the table of content.

icon_comment

Default value auto provides expanded map services when starting a WebOffice project.

Expandable in TOC?

Specifies if the map service can be expanded or not. If not then the user is only able to switch the visibility of the whole service but not for individual layers of this service.

Visibility changeable by user?

Specifies if the map service visibility can be changed by the user.

icon_comment

Please consider, that the map service visibility cannot be changed within a basemap view.

Transparency level [%]

Transparency level [%].

Useful for blending map services.

icon_comment

If a value other then 0 is used, performance may drop down because of necessary image blending.

List of layers

It is possible to configure a list of layers with explicitly configured properties. The order of the layers on first level is considered in the TOC as well.

icon_comment

The order of the layers can only be considered if the parameter "Only use these Layers?" is set to true. Otherwise WebOffice will take the order of topics from the WMS service.

If a WMS layer has further sub layers, the properties of these sub layers can also be configured, but their configured order is not taken into account. Instead, the order in which they are displayed in the table of content is the one specified by the WMS service.

As far as this parameter is configured with true, the order of the Layer configuration is considered in the TOC and therefore in the Map too.
