The north arrow now gets rendered by WebOffice 10 R3 to avoid wrong rotation information in resulting plot documents in map blending scenarios.

 

North arrow is now implemented using a ‘logo image’ function field with the technical ID ‘northarrow’.

WebOffice 10 R3 currently generates a north arrow image size 45 x 45 pixels, therefore it is recommended to size the Logo image function field 1.2cm by 1.2cm.

 

 

 

 

To display a Logo field inside a frame we recommend to define the size of the frame bigger by 1 pixel in each direction. To align them, select the frame and the logo using the Shift key. Choose the Align option from the context menu and Align Bottom. Repeat the steps and choose Align Center in a second step.

 

Note: Alternatively it is also possible to insert the north arrow in ArcMap via 'Insert' - 'North arrow...'.
