currently open MXD file,

relevant ArcGIS Server map service,

WebOffice 10 R3 project configuration,

in the project configured plotservice

with one button click.

This function is very useful for administrators because all dependencies (MXD file – ArcGIS Server object – WebOffice 10 R3 application – WebOffice 10 R3 project) are taken into consideration.

Windows Login used for running ArcMap and WebOffice author is member of local agsadmin users group on ArcGIS Server machine

Read, write and delete file access for Windows Login used for running ArcMap and WebOffice author on ArcGIS Server share for ‘ServiceDocuments’ folder (directory where ArcMap documents published with ArcGIS Server, get stored).

Synchronize Plotservice

This function writes any feature classes (from the MXD files that remain in the folder of published MXD documents) into the data frame "datasources" of SynPlotService.mxd.

The advantage is that respective workspaces are already initialized when using dynamic printing. This leads to a considerable better performance when printing.

Note: This button considers only the MXD files of the directory which is configured as the directory for published MXD documents in the basic settings. MXD files in subdirectories of the configured directory will not be considered.

Note: Check regularly if data sources that are being written into the data frame "datasources" of SynPlotService.mxd still exist. If they do not exist anymore, remove the respective layer from the data frame.

Basic settings

Use this function for

Changing the Working directory of WebOffice author,

Setting the WebOffice 10 R3 application URL (needed for Publish function),

Setting the currently used language and

Updating your UserManagement database.

Application Profiles

Use Application profiles for easy change between different WebOffice applications.

Note: Multiple WebOffice applications are needed if

You want to run a Staging system scenario (Test server, Production server),

You want to run a public WebOffice 10 R3 application as well as one restricted with SynerGIS UserManagement

You simply want to run several WebOffice 10 R3 applications for better organizing multiple different WebOffice 10 R3 projects

Using the Application Profiles function in the File menu it is possible to choose from one of the configured Application profiles. WebOffice author will then switch its Basic settings dynamically according to the selected Application Profile.
