Construction Tools for editing existing Objects

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

It is possible to exactly create or move existing vertices of an object by using the construction tools available with Edit action ‘Editing’.

Moving the mouse pointer over vertex points of a currently selected objects and clicking the right mouse button opens the context menu shown below:

Moving the mouse pointer over a segment of a currently selected object and clicking the right mouse button opens the context menu shown below:

If you choose the menu item Insert/Move Vertex by Construction then a set of construction tools is available for exactly inserting or moving a vertex:

Intersection of line and circle

_img881a

This tool allows the determination of a new point via the intersection between a line and a circle. After having set the baseline (setting two vertices) and the circle (setting centre and radius), the intersection of line and circle will be calculated.
