New Connection & New Data Source

GIS data sources are automatically taken over in the template. In addition to the GIS data sources, external data can be integrated in the template with the designer. The first step is creating a new connection. For this select New Connection... You have eight different join types available:

OleDB Conncetion

Xml Data

Odbc Connection

MS Access Connection

Oracle Connection

PostgreSQL-Connection

ArcGIS Connection

 

After successfully testing the connection is listed with the data sources.

After the new connection has been created a new data source can be added with the feature New Data Source... For this the data connection Subareas is selected (18). The connection lists all available tables, queries, and views (19). The table Subareas is selected.

To relate the external data source to other data sources such as GIS data, a New Relation has to be created (20).
