With the configuration of height info raster layers the functionality of 3D measuring for the tools Measure - Point, Measure - Distance and Measure - Area is available.
This chapter contains details of configuration for every type of height info raster layers.
Note: The service containing the height info raster layers has to be configured as ArcGIS Server Map Service in the Map Collection.
Note: The data for the height info raster layers have to be in a FGDB or Enterprise Geodatabae (SDE).
Note: For 3D measuring capability the configuration of an elevation layer is mandatory.

Configuration of height infor raster layer in WebOffice author

List of height info raster layer
Property |
Description |
Raster layer ID |
Unique ID of raster layer with elevation/slope/exposition information. Note: To select a raster layer from the drop down list, ensure that the MXD with the raster layers has been opened in the background. |
Raster band |
Raster band index to fetch data from |
For measuring heights, slope and aspect, the following raster layers can be configured:
| • | Elevation layer: Raster layer containing elevation data |
Note: The elevation layer has to be a raster DEM (no TINs are supported) of a raster data type supported by Esri.
Note: The elevation layer has to contain the elevation information in a specified raster band.
Note: The projected coordinate system has to be metric as well as the elevation information.
Note: The raster dataset can be in a different coordinate system than the main map service (projection-on-the-fly is supported).
| • | Slope layer: Raster layer containing slope data. |
Note: The configuration of a slope layer is optional and only affects the measuring results of a 3D measure area.
Note: The slope layer has to be a raster with slope information in a specified raster band.
Note: The slope information has to be in DEGREE (PERCENT is not supported).
| • | Aspect layer: Raster layer containing aspect data |
Note: The configuration of an aspect layer is optional.
Note: Aspect data have to be stored in a specified raster band and values have to be '-1' for flat.
Note: Aspect data values have to be from 0 (DEGREE) from North to 360 (DEGREE) clockwise.
Note: See chapters Measure - Point, Measure - Distance and Measure - Area for details about the configuration of measuring in WebOffice author.
Note: See chapter Measure/Markup for details about measuring in the WebOffice html client.
Note: See chapters Measure Distance and Measure Area for details about measuring in the WebOffice flex client.
