Creating Ribbons for a WebOffice Project
When using a WebOffice 10.9 R4 project with the WebOffice core client it is recommended to create a set of Ribbons that fit your project best. For a quick start, WebOffice author offers two predefined sets of ribbons that can be accessed by the context menu of the ribbon element:
•START
•FAVORITES
Use one of them and extend it to be optimized for your WebOffice 10.9 R4 projects or create your own ribbon set from scratch.

Ribbon Set START
This predefined ribbon set includes a ribbon START which contains basic tools like navigation, selection, identify and printing. Besides, further tools of the specific categories can be found in the other ribbons NAVIGATION, SELECTION, DRAW, OUTPUT, DATA, ANALYSIS. If your WebOffice 10.9 R4 project contains tools that are not included with this ribbon set they will appear in the automatically generated ribbon REMAINING TOOLS as long as you do not assign them to any existing ribbons or create new ribbons for them.
The ribbon and tool group descriptions are already provided in all languages supported by WebOffice. Any language that should be used has to be released with Translations in WebOffice author. |

Ribbon Set FAVORITES
The concept of this predefined ribbon set slightly differs from the first one. Instead of one START ribbon a tool group FAVORITES exists in every ribbon. The idea behind this concept is that the user has access to his favorite tools no matter which ribbon is currently active. It includes the ribbons NAVIGATION, SELECTION, DRAW, DATA, OUTPUT, EDIT and ANALYSIS. If your WebOffice 10.9 R4 project contains tools that are not included with this ribbon set they will appear in the automatically generated ribbon REMAINING TOOLS as long as you do not assign them to any existing ribbons or create new ribbons for them. Ribbons that are not used can be deleted (e.g. if your project does not contain editing functionality).
The ribbon and tool group descriptions are already provided in all languages supported by WebOffice. Any language that should be used has to be released with Translations in WebOffice author. |
