Configure Basic Settings
CAUTION! With version WebOffice 10.7, WebOffice author (ArcMap) will be officially deprecated; i.e. will be delivered with WebOffice 10.7 for the last time. New features of WebOffice from version 10.7 will mostly only be implemented in WebOffice author standalone. WebOffice author (ArcMap) is no longer delivered with WebOffice 10.9 R4. Please install WebOffice author standalone! |
After installation of WebOffice author was successful the basic settings have to be configured once. After having started WebOffice author open the basic settings.
If another version of WebOffice author has been installed on the operating system before, the basic settings will be transferred from the system registry. If in that case the configuration schemes differ from each other, the following error might occur: File or path does not exist: \application_config.xsd In that case please adjust the basic settings as described below. |
Open basic settings in WebOffice author
Configure basic settings
Mandatory:
•Working directory:
Navigate to the location where you have installed WebOffice 10.9 R4 (e.g. default path is C:\Tomcat\webapps\<WebOffice application>) using the Directory button right of the Working directory input field. The link will automatically point to the working directory that contains all project configuration files (.xml) and the configuration data model (.xsd)
•WebOffice application URL:
The URL to the WebOffice 10.9 R4 web application and the password to access the WebOffice 10.9 R4 administration pages. In case the Apache Tomcat Connector was installed before no port has to be entered. Otherwise the URL should look like https://<server name>[:<port>]/<WebOffice application name>/ (e.g. http://myserver:8080/WebOffice)
The default password for accessing the WebOffice 10.9 R4 administration pages is admin and should be changed immediately.
Note: If you chose to Install Apache Tomcat Connector and already updated the Apache Tomcat Connector configuration then it is possible to enter the WebOffice application URL https://<server name>[:<port>]/<WebOffice application name>/ without the port 8080 (e.g. http://myserver/WebOffice).
Optional:
Note: Check Synchronize to user management database only if you need to connect to a WebOffice usermanagement database for maintaining your base data with WebOffice author. See chapter Configure Basic Settings for WebOffice UserManagement for details.
