Since WebOffice 10.9 R4 it is possible to search Map Views and set Favorites.

Users have the possibility to add pre-configured views to their own favorites via configuration. Using a asterisk symbol next to the view name, this view can be added to the personal favorites. This adds the category Favorites to the list of view categories, which is then displayed above the list. This requires at least one view that has been marked as a favorite. Furthermore, a button for saving the favorites in the User Profile is offered. Depending on how the Map views switch type (core client) is configured in map views, the favorites are displayed. The types Value list and Accordion are distinguished.

To add a view, the respective category must be expanded.

The selection list of background maps is not taken into account.

The selection of favorites of the map views is only possible in the WebOffice core client.

Basemaps

If a change of background maps has been configured, this can be done by selecting the desired background map from the drop-down menu at Basemaps. The list of basemap views in this drop-down menu is based on the configuration of List of basemap views.

The logged-in user can define his own user-defined map sections, provided that (a) WebOffice usermanagement is active and (b) the storage of user-related bookmarks is activated in the project configuration. The created map sections are only available to the respective logged-in user and are reloaded the next time the project is started.

If no bookmarks are configured and no user-specific bookmarks are available for the logged in user, and user-specific bookmarks are not allowed to be saved, the bookmarks area is not displayed at all.

Scale

In the WebOffice core client either a list of discrete scales can be provided or the user can set the scale individually. Basically, in order to provide better control possibility and higher map quality, a number of discrete scales should be used, since the attention regarding map views, layer visibilities is then focused only on the list of scales.

See chapter Map Collection. for details about the configuration of the scale ranges.

Full Text Search

Additionally, the WebOffice core client offers the possibility to use a full text search. The full text search consists of a fast and comfortable search over several layers of a project.

The user has two different ways to search within the project:

Global Full Text Search

Thematic Full Text Search

The Global Full Text Search searches all existing and indexed layers in the project for the customized input in the WebOffice core client.

To make the full text search available, you must first have the WebOffice FTS-Index be installed. Make sure that all necessary components are installed and read in chapter WebOffice FTS-Index about all the necessary information.

General settings regarding the full text search have to be configured in the Application Configuration. For detailed information, see chapter Full Text Search and its subchapters.

Complete instructions on how to implement the full text search in a WebOffice 10.9 R4 project can be found in the chapter WebOffice FTS-Index.

More information about the configuration of a Thematic Full Text Search can be found in the chapter Thematic Full Text Search.
