Generate GIS export configuration

With Create GIS export configuration... a new export configuration for GIS formats can be Inserted. This contains all layers of the current data frame. Please note that feature classes that contain fields with data types BLOB or RASTER, are in fact written in the configuration but cannot be exported.

For the automatic generation of the configurations it is required that the viewed layers have to be saved into a MXD.

When generating the export configuration no Connection Files are created. These must be manually created and adjusted. In WebOffice export author no Connection Files are required, since there the selection of the data sources is made manually.

Generally, the export configuration in WebOffice differs from those that can be used in WebOffice export author by the suffix. In the author it is cadexport.config.settings. With regards to the content both are the same XML configuration files. The WebOffice export author is hence very well suited for testing the configuration. As filed location of the configuration, in this case attention is paid by default on the folder configuration under Program Files/SYNERGIS/GeoOffice. If the file with the correct ending is stored there, the configuration can be tested in the ArcGIS Desktop.

The GIS export configuration name should not include any special characters (e.g. -, #), because the name of the configuration is used for naming the export output. Shapefiles, Personal Geodatabases and File Geodatabases don't support all special characters. Furthermore, consider that the configuration name starts with an alphabetic character and not with a number.
