Feature Map Properties - General

 

Name

Define a name for the feature map. This name is used for connecting the north arrow, the scale bar and the scale value to the map.

Resolution

The resolution the map is created with. By default, this is set to 300 dpi.

Map View

*GeoOffice map view

If you design or generate your ePaper with GeoOffice analyst or GeoOffice express you have the possibility to represent the features with different map views. This is offered by the GeoOffice map views.

If you defined GeoOffice map views within your project you can use configure these map views in the Feature Map.

If you have installed GeoOffice ePaper the map views are displayed in the General tab as GeoOffice map views.

*WebOffice map identifier

Choose a map view from the ten predefined map views (MapView1 to MapView10) for each feature map. The map views are defined and configured with the WebAuthor. There you define which map view is MapView1, which map view stands behind MapView2 and so on.

If you have installed WebOffice ePaper author the map views are displayed in the General tab as Map identifier.

Rotation

If this option is enabled, you have two possibilities to define a rotation:

Rotation value
Define an angle that rotates the map.

Rotation field
If you have the information stored in an attribute, you can choose this attribute (column). Every feature is rotated according to its defined rotation value. Only number fields (double, integer) are supported. No text fields.

Display scale as scale value in the map

The scale can be inserted as scale value. The text is displayed in the right bottom corner of the map
