When data is inserted as data band, it is displayed as follows in the page of the template:

The data source is automatically assigned by inserting the data directly from the GST data source by drag & drop. In the data band there is the assignment Data source: GST.

Alternatively there is also the possibility to drag a data band from the Toolbar into the page.

Then however, the link to the data source must be done subsequently. When inserting a data, the Data Setup dialog box opens. Select the desired data source. The assignment of the data source can be done also with the features from the header of the data or with the Properties window.

The formatting of the bands or of the components such as color, frame or shade properties is done either by the Properties window or by the features from the multi-function menu. You can view the setup template with preview.
