Ribbons

Ribbons can be used to configure tools of your WebOffice 10.9 project for the WebOffice core client in a user-defined arrangement or grouping. When configuring ribbons, you have to define a name for each ribbon. Optionally, it is also possible, to classify each ribbon into several tool groups. Finally, specify the tools that should be placed in the ribbon.

Ribbons are only available in WebOffice core.

Ribbon configuration

Description

Ribbon name

Ribbon name. This will be displayed in the WebOffice core client.

External Marker-ID

Optional field to specify the identifier for the external call.

External IDs may not contain spaces or special characters. Only combinations of the following letters and numbers are permitted or are intended to be used:

•A to Z (uppercase letters)

•a to z (lowercase letters)

•0 to 9 (numeric characters)

Properties	Description
Tool group name	Tool group name. This will be displayed in the WebOffice core client.

Properties	Description
Name of the tool	Gives the tool a name that will be displayed in the WebOffice core client. By clicking on the arrow you can also assign the name in other languages. If no name is configured, the default name of the tool is assigned.

If you quickly want to create a ribbon configuration you can add a ribbon set by opening the Ribbons context menu. There are two different ribbons available in WebOffice author standalone that contain the most frequently used tools and can be extended as needed:

•START

•FAVORITES
