Description

WebOffice output URL

WebOffice output URL to be used if e.g. using NTLM for securing WebOffice application access.

Admin must ensure to set up a virtual directory mapping the configured WebOffice output URL to the physical path of the WebOffice output directory (<WebOffice application file path>\output). It must be possible to access files in this virtual directory using anonymous http.

See also chapter Printing for understanding the interaction between WebOffice 10.9 R4 Application Server and ArcGIS Server Server.

E.g.: http://<myserver>/WebOfficeOutput gets mapped to the physical path of the WebOffice output directory (<WebOffice application file path>\output).

The virtual output folder also has to support all possible MIME-Types for the output formats and their world files.

Go to IIS Manager, select your created virtual directory. In properties window select HTTP header --> MIME-Types Button respectively MIME-Types section in IIS 7. If not already existing, add MIME-Types for the file extensions: .pgw, .gfw, .bpw, .jgw, .tfw. The MIME-Types of all file extensions have to be application/octet-stream.

MIME-Type settings on Windows Server 2008 using IIS 7 will only last until the next IIS restart. To maintain your MIME-Type Settings go to your command line and enter secpol.msc to open your local security policy settings. Go to Software Restriction Policies (add new policies if they do not exist yet) and open the designated file types. Add the extensions: pgw, gfw, bpw, jgw, tfw.

Some Versions of IIS 7 will save a file called web.config into the output folder. This is used to store the locally defined MIME Types. Do not delete this file!
