Upgrade WebOffice author

Please take the following steps to update WebOffice author. Consider the notes in the respective README file before starting the upgrade.

 

Backup the content of the WebOffice usermanagement database

When using WebOffice usermanagement, backup the WebOffice usermanagement database by exporting an xml dump file.

 

Uninstall WebOffice author

Uninstall WebOffice author via Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features. Be sure that ArcMap/ArcCatalog are closed.

Install WebOffice author

•Verify that the .NET system requirements to install the WebOffice author are fulfilled.

•If GeoOffice is installed next to WebOffice 10.9 R4, you must make sure that outdated GeoOffice modules are updated or, if no longer needed, uninstalled. Otherwise you may experience problems when using WebOffice 10.9 R4.

 

Follow the directions in chapter Install WebOffice author in order to install a newer version of WebOffice author.
