Tools as well as Commands (you just need to click once to use the functionality of a Command) are placed in the Toolbar.

Tool buttons can be displayed in the toolbar itself. Anyway it is possible to group tools together in so called Tool Groups. Advantage of this concept is to provide a better overview and to better structure the toolbar itself.

 

 

Note: The Tool Group symbol always visible in the Toolbar shows which Tool within the group is the default respectively is currently selected. This way you the user immediately knows about which tool he currently uses without need for opening the Tool Group itself.

 

Each Tool which needs further user input has its tool form which gets displayed when activating the Tool:

 

 

Note: No matter which Tool you use, it is always possible to navigate in the map during use of the Tool by using the right mouse button (Pan by moving the mouse) and / or the mouse wheel (Zoom In/Zoom Out).
