Storing of user defined Queries

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

WebOffice 10 R3 was extended concerning its search functionality to make use of it even more flexible for users. Users may store their own user defined queries and reuse them later on in a different WebOffice 10 R3 session.

Note: It is recommended to provide this functionality only if your work with named and identified users, i.e. if you use SynerGIS UserManagement. WebOffice 10 R3 will then take care to provide specific user defined queries to the corresponding user only who did create and save the query. If users can not be identified (i.e. public anonymous web application available to all users) then all users will see any user defined query.

For configuring this functionality please follow the steps listed below.

Enable storing of Query Builder queries first:

Common settings configuration – Store Query Builder queries

Enable Query builder for the specific layer(s) for which you want to make this function available – Change to Layer queries in WebOffice author Edit menu and navigate to the corresponding Query element:

Query configuration - Query builder enabled?

In WebOffice html client the user may now start Query Builder tool, specify its personal query and save it

Save personal/user defined query in WebOffice 10 R3 client

If the user starts a new WebOffice html client session later on, then the list of predefined queries contains an additional entry

Reuse the user defined query stored before - WebOffice 10 R3 client

The user may then use this query again and again, may change the search fields and values, activate/deactivate the option "Search in current map extent only" and delete it.
