Depending on configuration properties in the WebOffice 10 R3 project, the Scale control displays a list of discrete available scale levels or provides an input control for entering whatever scale the user wants to display in the map.

Note: In some scenarios displaying scales does not make sense at all (worldwide map cache etc.). It is possible to configure WebOffice 10 R3 in a way that it does not show the scale control at all.
