The ribbon bar provides all configured tools. By activating a tool either the tool specific settings will be appended to the ribbon bar or a new dynamic ribbon will appear. Activated tools are highlighted in gray.

Tool groups in the WebOffice core client
Tool groups can be realized either through ribbons themselves or through tool groups within a ribbon. Ribbons can be used for describing activities/work flows of a project and tool groups can be used for ordering related tools within a ribbon.

Any tools, that are not configured for a ribbon, will appear in an additional ribbon called 'Remaining tools'.

Many tools, that need further user input, activate those settings in the ribbon bar. But some tools open a tool form on top right of the map. It is not possible to activate two or more tools at the same time, in that case previous tools will be deactivated.
