Bands

The band components include the report, pages and group titles etc. The data components are dragged into the page by drag & drop.

Report Title

Is located only at the beginning of a report. Components such as texts, graphics etc. can be inserted into the report title.

Report Summary

Is located only at the end of a report. Components such as texts, graphics etc. can be inserted into the report summary.

Page Header

Is located only at the beginning of a page. Components such as texts (to output for instance a page number or date) can be inserted into the page header.

Page Footer

Is located only at the end of a page. Components such as texts (to output for instance a page number or date) can be inserted into the page footer.

Group Header

Allows the grouping of data within a report. Components such as a group name can be inserted into the group header.

Group Footer

Allows the grouping of data and is inserted at the bottom end of the grouping. A group footer band is always used in combination with a group header band.

Header

Information (e.g. data headers) can be inserted into a header.

Information at the end of displayed data are in the footer.

Column Header

When using report with multiple columns, for each column a header can be created. Components such as texts, graphics etc. can be inserted into the column header.

Column Footer

Data

Is used to display data from any data sources. When embedding data with the tab Dictionary, the data band is optionally recorded automatically.

Table

Is used to display data from any data sources in tabular form. When embedding data with the tab Dictionary, the table is optionally recorded automatically.

Hierarchical Data

Allows displaying data whose data source does refer to itself.

Child

The data of a record can be output divided into several bands.

Empty Data

For filling free spaces for instance on the bottom page of a report.

Overlay

Allows the display of watermarks on a page. It is placed on top of all other elements.

Components such as texts, column data, feature maps or even system variables can be inserted into one of the band by drag & drop.

These components can be also inserted directly (without bands) on the page. In case the report includes data bands for displaying records, there is however the possibility that components and bands do overlay in the report.
