During installation, you will have to provide a name and password for the ArcGIS Server account. Specifying either a local account or a domain account is possible:

Using a local account:
Local account and password have to exist on each GIS server and be identical. If a specified local account does not exist it will be created.

Using a domain account:
A domain account makes it easier to access data on remote systems. If a specified domain account does not exist, the installation will return an error.

 

Supported combinations of OS and ArcGIS Server concerning multilingual installations:

English OS, English ArcGIS (Server and Desktop)

German OS, German ArcGIS (Server and Desktop)

German OS, English ArcGIS
