Java is required on the application server machine. WebOffice 10.6 is certified for Java SE Development Kit 8u162 (64bit).

The version can be downloaded at:

Note: In case the WebOffice setup will be used to install WebOffice 10.6, Java SE Development Kit 8u162 (64bit) is included within the setup and will be installed automatically.

Note: Make sure to download the Windows 64bit version (jdk-8u162-windows-x64.exe).

Start the installation process after the download with a double click on the file. The setup will guide you through the installation, all default settings can be left unchanged. Java will be installed to the directory C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_162\.

Java SE Development Kit installation

Important note when using WebOffice FTS-Index: After an update of Java, the system variable JAVA_HOME must be adjusted accordingly (the path to the installation directory of Java must be changed). After adjusting the system variable, a restart of Windows service SynerGIS WebOffice FTS-Index (Port 8983) is necessary.
