Navigation:  WebOffice author > WebOffice author standalone (preview)

WebOffice 10.5 offers a preview version of the new WebOffice author standalone in addition to the currently known WebOffice author as an ArcMap extension.

 

Some highlights are:

•Independent desktop application compatible both with ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro

•New graphical user interface for a faster access to important entry points

•Considerable performance enhancements

•Optimized for high resolution displays

•Extensive filtering within the generic editing mode possible

•AutoBackup to prevent data loss

•Show and delete references

•Immediate notification on XML validation errors

•Possibility for ESRI Resource Proxy Configuration: This is especially important to the 3D view of the new WebOffice flex (flash) client, so that all tile services, which are supported by WebOffice, are also supported by the 3D view.

 

 

 

The following functions are not yet implemented:

•ArcMap and ArcGIS pro binding

•UserManagement synchronization

•Wizards (query, edit, create project)

 

Tip:

To reopen projects with the old author after saving with the new author you have to generate RowIDs. Therefore navigate to "Extras -> Author old: Generate RowIDs"  

If the tool is not visible please activate the debug mode in the WebOffice author settings.
