The MapTip tool enables users to retrieve information by just moving the mouse over objects in the map. Choose the topic you want to identify by checking the respective layer in the tool form.

Note: In order to get a better overview of layers that can be searched it is possible to categorize them. More details about the configuration of categories for MapTip can be found in chapter List of Layer Categories.

Note: If a polygon is fully overlapped by another polygon of the same layer, the smaller one is going to be selected for the maptip. 

 

Depending on the project configuration MapTip can be used as a continuously activated tool that either permanently requests information or gets executed by single click events. A configurable icon tells the user the tool is requesting information. If configured, the MapTip result will also show hyperlinks, neighbor Searches and WebOffice ePaper.
