Export with Index Feature Classes

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

With the objects of an index FeatureClass, the export can be limited to the extent of these objects and divided into several export files.

The Index FeatureClass must be of the type polygon and must have the column Name in the attribute table. For each feature of the Index FeatureClass is created an export file with the name from the content of the field name.

Note: With the variable OutFileName from the configuration file, the name of the export files can be created additionally divided by tasks <Value of attribute name>  +  <OutFileName>.dwg

GeoOffice: If an Index FeatureClass e.g. with the function Create FeatureClass from the toolbar GeoOffice Workbench is created, the field name must be created and for each index object a field values (export file name) must be specified.

For plot tiles created with the plot module, a FeatureClass can be used where each plot section is rendered by a polygon object. This FeatureClass is used as Index FeatureClass to display separate DXF or DWG files for the areas.

From the 2 objects of the Index FeatureClass (1) are created 2 export files.

The names of the export files are taken from the attribute name of the objects from the Index Feature Class.

Note: If several data sources are defined, the Index Feature Class must exist in each data source.
