WebOffice author provides in its ArcGIS toolbar a button for transferring the current ArcMap layer visibility settings to WebOffice 10.4 SP2.

You can create a new WebOffice 10.4 SP2 map view or add the visibility settings of the data frame to an existing WebOffice 10.4 SP2 map view.

There are three options how the new map view can be created:

Apply top level layers only:
Only top level layer groups will be taken into consideration. It is recommended to use this option because this keeps WebOffice 10.4 SP2 project configuration information light weight and it is far easier to maintain the few imported configuration elements.

Apply visible group layers only:
Only visible group layers will be taken into consideration. Similar to the option above, this option reduces the information to be saved and excludes all group layers that are not visible.

All TOC elements will be saved in the WebOffice 10.4 SP2 project configuration

Below you see examples for every type of transferring process, on the left side the ArcMap table of content is visible whereas on the right side the WebOffice 10.4 SP2 project configuration shows the created map views.

Option: Apply only top level layers

With the first option "Apply only top level layers" only the top level group layers will be written in the WebOffice 10.4 SP2 configuration, the structure (i.e. visible/non-visible, expanded/collapsed) of lower level layers or group layers will not be considered. If there are no special settings in lower levels it is recommended to use this type of configuration since it keeps WebOffice 10.4 SP2 project configuration information light weight.

Option: Apply visible group layers only

Option: Apply visible group layers only

When creating a map view with the option "Apply visible group layers only" all levels of layers and group layers will be considered, unless they are set to non-visible. See in the figure above how layer group "Base Data" does not appear in the WebOffice 10.4 SP2 map view since it is set to non-visible in ArcMap.

If you want the entire layer structure transferred into a WebOffice 10.4 SP2 map view, then use the option "Get full TOC". Keep in mind that this type of configuration may be cluttered if the ArcMap document has a lot of group layers of different levels.
