List of Search Categories

The list of search categories specifies the categories for grouping stored queries. Using the group function, it is possible to provide a stored query to users in a structured way. Queries can be grouped thematically across all layers.

If you do not relate every predefined query to an according search category, all unclassified configured queries will be listed automatically in a category Other queries.

After various search categories have been defined in this entry point, you will have to relate these categories to configured queries. See chapter Query - Where Clause for details.

In case a user defines a query and saves it, this type of query will be listed in an automatically created User defined queries category. For providing this functionality you have to check the following parameters:

oQuery builder enabled? set to true - see chapter Query for details.

oStore a Query Builder queries? set to true - see chapter Common Settings for details.
